The fire department recently took delivery of a new water tanker. This tanker will replace a tanker which is older, has smaller tank size, and less engine power.
The new tanker carries 2500 gallons of water, has a 500 gallons per minute pump, and has the ability to dump the water into a portable tank at a fire.
While there are hydrants in our area, these are too far from most structures to use directly. Tankers are used to move large quantities of water to a fire scene.
